Which offer gives the better ping out there?

I have been using WA but the last while I have had lots of times where the latency was unplayable. 500ms and up.

I know this has been asked before but I want some recent experiences.

Thanks

wa does, normally 180ms or less in wow, telkom gives 260ms+ almost like telkom is shaping wow these days o.0

If you stay in Cape Town and surrounds, its fairly easy to get 160-190ms on WA, depending on how full the EU realm you play on is.

Twilight's Hammer easily get 170ms, where as Sylvanas for example usually hover around 210-230ms.

I have no idea what is wrong with my line, if I check out the thread about Ping times / dc etc. I should be getting great pings according to my line att. and the rest of the tings they mention

guys in wow your home or whatever ping doesn't count, it's your world or server or whatever ping that counts.

the first one is basically just your connection to the chat server and some other arbitrary ****.

160 - 190ms on a standard WA account ? I'll believe it when I see it.

Mine normally looks something like 250 / 310

You are not the first person with that comment :)

I posted a video some time ago here: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthr...pped-and-wow?p=7243081&viewfull=1#post7243081

Back then my UI still showed the world latency by default.

If you still don't believe me, I can just record another video for you, that will show even better latency than that video does. And this time I can do a LFR so that there is more people in the video.

Webafrica is great if you're in cape town, in joburg add about 50ms for the trip...

Its defo not the WA account itself. I've played Wow with a 200-220ms on a busy server for years with WA (using proxy) and currently getting 220ms playing DOTA 2 without a proxy.

Ow and I'm not from CT

What type of account do you have with WA ?

I am on a WA shaped account and I am getting latency between 180-250ms all the time don't know what they did but its great even getting that in 25 man raids :D.
What addons are you using in the video?

That video was taken on the WA Home Uncapped 4mbit/sec account on a 4mbit/sec line.
However the latency should be the same, even on the WA Titan and 50gb redafrica specials. I do have a 50gb Titan account as well, but it gives exactly the same performance as the uncapped account.

Most of what you see is ElvUI, the guy uses TukUI framework to build the UI.
Other than, rest is standard addons, like DBM, Omen, Recount and WIM.
