Web Africa... service going down the drain?

This is definitely something you guys can improve on. The live help as it sits there is useless because nobody answers it.
Hmmm, we are getting a lot of customers successfully using it, but there does seem to be a number of people that are experiencing problems with it.

I'll investigate further and see what we can do.

I have tried on a few occasions but it is for lack a a better word its pretty crap. I have never got through, I always sit first in queue and then get asked to leave a message which did not work either. In saying that I always have joy using MSN and as a 2nd resort Spark WA messenger, problems always sorted out chop chop.

If you have a problem ask for Jade, he is 1337 :D

today, swapped accounts from 'normal' unshaped to prepaid unshaped
10 secs and it was done - no issues

phoned in was immediately helped and sorted out (confirm cancelation of old account)

i seriously from the 5 months i am with WA handn't had any issues at all - so far only good service and above :)

Yep, I actually got a "Hi there" from Adzi or someone on the live help feature after waiting several minutes. I didn't check the window (after the first 4 minutes past) and then I just got a notification he/she closed the session. Okay... how about being a little more patient seeing as I had to be patient with support staff... ESPECIALLY A SALES/HOSTING QUERY.

Grrr

These bozos you guys are hiring isn't very flattering to your company image waroop

Its not actually our guys closing the chat session, it seems to be doing it automatically for some reason. I have seen it happen a few times. We are yet to pin point the exact problem of the bug but are investigating. Its just proving tricky as we didn't develop this software.

While I understand you are frustrated AcidRazor I think its a little unfair jumping to conclusions and calling our guys Bozo's, we all work very hard here and always give our customers only our best.

Wow, a bit heavy hey :o Aziz has always been good, friendly and helpful to me, even when I have phoned at crazy times and have got him working. I would hardly call them bozo's. Use a phone if you have a query or send them a email they always seem to get back to me quickly enough or download the Spark IM client and you can choose who to talk to in whichever department you need.

The problem is I can't waste my time waiting 13 minutes for someone to answer the phone... thought I explained that earlier?

And if you don't like what I say then I suggest opening your eyes a bit more to why I said it. Frustration? Hardly. If it's faulty software and it's a known issue take it off your site and test it thoroughly...either way it reflects on your company

But anyway... found a free host somewhere for my Secondary DNS

Use the WA messenger, it is free and is instant messaging

I use them and never had issues beyond the reasonable. Their online service centre is awesome.

Have used them over a year now. Prepaid is fast and easy. They even bill me in dollars! Well, my US bank card gets billed R70 every time I top up online.

No complaints and always recommend them to others.

I have also had my fair share of problems with WA... And yet it seems that other people gets the type of service that we all want... Maybe we can get a bit more consistancy?

may i suggest http://www.saol.com. I am with them, very happy with the package, support and overall service. So one happy client. I recently installed a wireless router they helped me out without any questions.

I also had my fair share of problems with WA. They used to disconnect me every couple of minutes to check if I had gone 1k/byte over my cap.Something about abusing my bandwidth and dl to much pron. Pedantic was very charming in his emails to me.

I'm @ WA for two reasons

1) Prepaid ADSL
2) Credit Card payment

I get the same at Axxess with 24/7 support :p

But as I said before:
The bigger they(ISP's) get the...............

Fact is that alot of people are complaining about their service lately, and no matter how many of their loyal supporters flame the people pointing out the bad experiences, the fact remains that their service has taken a dive.

At this stage WA can either go the route of other big companies and ignore stuff like this (completely forgetting that their success is largely due to the support of communities like this) or they can wake up and realize that they need to pull up their socks.

Is anyone else on WA Prepaid (4Mbps) not getting full speed on international downloads?
