Web Developer Partner required for new web concept site

Just out of curiosity, have you googled your idea to see if someone else haven't already done your idea?
 
I have searched for similar services/sites. Some extremely specialised sites perform similar services but only for an extremely small target market.

Out of interest... Are these threads password lockable? If so, how many posters here would be willing to sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement and discuss the project as a group? Perhaps that might even open up the possibility of doing the project as a joint partnership by all contributors?

Don't think so, you'd probably need some other method of discussion. Not a bad idea though: if someone is interested, they sign NDA, hear about the idea and then decide whether it's worth it or not.
 
no the threads are not lockable, i am not sure but maybe groups have privacy options
 
For the same person, to create three nicknames to ask the same question.... well now it has a "scam" feel to it. Why would you need to change your name so many times to ask the same thing?

That's all I'm really looking for at this stage to be honest... We discuss the idea and if the developer thinks it's worth the time and effort we can proceed, if not only an hour or two lost...
 
Pity bout that one then, not to worry other methods are available

Apparently the service is still up but there's no guarantee from Google how long it will be continued. Aren't there software solutions available that you can install on your network that will provide the same kind of functionality?

EDIT: Nevermind, EOL is effectively 31 January 2012.
 
There is a few forum and wiki type services that you can use for free or some products you can install on your network. JBoss wiki is free but you need a Java app server for that.

Edit: BTW, most of the free forum sites I've seen are not free if you use it for business use
