Hi, I'm looking for a web hosting service including dsl. I was originally looking @ Axxess, as all my other accounts are held with them & have had zero issues. Unfortunately the web site is Microsoft based & Axxess is Linux. Can anyone suggest a reliable & cost effective ISP that I can get in touch with ??

Webafrica offers both hosting and ADSL access... as does Telkom :)

(I recommend you choose Webafrica over Telkom, though!)
 
Hi snekko,

I would also say WebAfrica would be a good choice, considering you need Windows based hosting. Please do keep in mind that their web hosting packages are separate from their ADSL accounts.
 
Hey guys thanks for all the responses. Went the Web Africa way they are on top of that ball hey. Customer Service seems just fine actually didn't even need to make a call was quickly done by email. Nice. Just gonna take it from here. Have a good one !!!!
 
Webafrica is good, but if you are trying trying to run a dynamic site, you will find sites load slowly. They probably overload their shared hosting servers, or the specs are too low. At least this is my experience with them.

Saying this do U have another option for me then Denouncer ?? Curious as you left no other company as a bench mark. Just wanna check.

I am sorry to hear about your issues on our servers Denouncer! Could you possibly send me a PM with your client code and domain hosted with us and I will investigate immediately.

Our current servers run Intel Core 2 Duo processors with 4GB of RAM. Domain numbers are heavily regulated to avoid overloading and maintain server speed at all times and as a reactive measure all CPU's are monitored 24/7, so there should definitely be no slowness whatsoever.

My company has about about 30+ websites with Hetzner which I find are very good, however, Webafrica offer more with better prices especially on the lower end of the scale. Hetzner have had hiccups in the last year or so, which I think is due to their quick expansion. This was the reason for me to take a look at Webafrica. The customer care at both companies are great, but I've found the support at Hetzner seems to have a better technical understanding when it comes to problems.

I've since dropped one of my 2 sites I was trying with Webafrica due to the slow responsiveness (don't confuse this with bandwidth. this is quick and reliable). I'm gonna give waroop a shout and maybe there's something which can be done. But I'm disappointed that after endless amount of support tickets to WA, they only find time to help out when I've posted something about them on mybroadband.

P.S. Take into account, this is a comparison between WA Shared Hosting vs Hetzner Dedicated Server

As waroop pointed-out, we do run some pretty beefy hardware.
