Im currently looking at opening up my own web development company and I'm looking at any good web hosting providers. Im currently looking at Afrihost and GoDaddy and their prices seem good.

How are their support services?

Also, is storage space important as well? I'm guessing this space would be for the mailbox

I am open to any other recommendations as well.

Thank You

There are other cloud options out there but they're pants in the functionality and integration departments.

The OP asked about web hosting providers, and nothing about cloud providers.

I presume a reseller hosting package would be better suited for this kind of hosting requirement as it allows the ability to create accounts for each client that is added under your reseller account and offers the most cost effective solution.

I'm sorry. When did either of these cease to be a web hosting provider?

They are both without measure in the web hosting game. They may also offer a wealth of other services but that surely cannot detract from the fact that anyone fiddling with dedicated, old-game, middlemen is committing themselves to the past.

The OP asked about Afrihost and Godaddy - neither of these offer cloud hosting in the way that AWS or Azure do.
Have a great day further

Azure and AWS aren't always cheaper, but if you're using containers correctly it can be cheaper and quite easy to manage, CPanel isn't really needed.

For local, domains.co.za is good if you want hosting in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Johannesburg is datakeepers.co.za (virtualhosts.co.za is their hosting solution).
Reseller for datakeepers, reseller for domains.co.za

Have had good experiences with both.

Personally, if you're building more custom sites, I'd learn docker and dockerize all the sites and host those, will make hosting a lot cheaper as it scales a lot better.

You do not want to manage mail, if you can convince your client, always get them to use e.g. Google Suite or Office365, it's not something that is very profitable unless you have a lot of clients.

The OP asked about Afrihost and Godaddy

The OP's question made it clear they were looking for genuine guidance here as they're conflating hosting and registration.

Claiming that AWS and Azure are not web hosting providers is just plain wrong and undermines your brand.
