Host4Africa respond usually within an hour or 2, and their email support closes at 5pm.
Texo answer most support tickets within 10 minutes and their support is open till midnight.... they also always go the extra mile to try help.
Both Texo and host4africa are local companies with international hosting (hosted on USA servers)

If you want a small site with a LOCAL visitors only, take a look at local hosting
(hosting on SA servers).
The best I've found for that is Webafrica with their plans starting from R18

I've heard tons of good reviews on www.texo.co.za and there is a texo rep on this site and many members are currently using their services.

I'm using Texo to host my blog - on their cheapest package. Been with them since December and they've been very friendly. Most of my queries are not related to hosting but issues with my Wordpress blog and they've answered those pretty quickly.

I've recommended them to a few of my friends.
