Has any ever used the international hosting company ( http://www.hostso.com ), I've looked one their pricing and they are quite reasonable on their hosting packages, but I'm not sure if I should try them.

Good price. What is the speed like with this host? Looking into getting site up, but need some download speed for files as well.

Pricing can be a big blind side when it comes to hosting. At the end of the day you want reliability, support at a good price with a reputable brand.

santrex.net is the best hosting provider. Look at their cheap prices. They are reliable and 24/7 support. Plus with each service you have at least 2 location choices. I have 4 accounts with them. One on each server US,France,Germany,Netherlands for redundecy cause its just $3 a month and even cheaper if you pay anually.

try servint.net for a vps. The also do full daily backups which alot of hosting providers either dont to or charge for it. Their support is good as well.

I have only had problems with them. Tried to change one site's nameserver and got "The Nameserver "ns4.santrex.net." at IP "67.213.212.220" ;; does not have a reverse FQDN entry and as such will be rejected. " error. Contacted support and the answer they gave was that everything was working fine on thousands of other sites. That was it, no trying to assist or help with another nameserver. 24/7 support mean nothing if they are full of sh*t. Their prices are cheap, but it doesn't help if you can't use them.

Well, a tracert on 67.213.212.220 shows that it resolves to ns4.santrex.net, which means there is a valid reverse FQDN entry.

Did you perhaps update the name server on a ".co.za" name? Because I know that the .co.za registrar is sometimes very **** in picking up these things, I had to re-submit a change request 3-4 times before it actually picked up that there was nothing wrong with the DNS server (the 4th time it told me my second DNS, which was working the first 3 times, were having the problem then)

If it was a .com, who is your registrar? .com's usually don't check for valid DNS entries or servers (AFAIK) and would accept any server, it would just **** up your website that's all...

Hi AR,

It was a while back, but like I said their support came back with the reply that everything is working for other domains so why are you complaining.
Not a good first impression for a hosting company to make.
