Web Intact (Or intactless service)

Well, I dont know , I think its default this :

Username : admin
Password : [Empty]

Mikrotik (with RouterOS v 2.9.17, which is OLD) is like this.
See this link....

About resetting, well there is NO way except Resetting the routerboard, which will ALSO remove ALL PPPOe settings etc i guess.

EDIT : This link confirms what I thought, just see Mikrotik in list

Cheers

Thanks Chameleon,

Hi Rebel hope it helps you

No,I had to figure it out myself.

Won't they give it to you? If you're renting I can understand, but if you bought your router they can't do that?

I did buy it, only paying (+regrettably  ) the monthly cap. BUT I can't use it :> DOWNLOADS at 100kbps or LESS, not even to TRY GAMES ONLINE.

BUT, they tell me BS of security.. etc. WTF ever

I want to cancel this, GWI are not the ONLY bs WISP over the country.

LETS just leave these dodgy WISPS so they can die a slow death.:mad:

Strange, normally they leave it at default, but maybe the guy that did your installation thought he was clever and changed it.

MR GWI, are you still breathing its been a while since you last wrote something!!!

MR GWI?

Is he representative of GWI? Wish my WISP will respond here :mad:

Well he is suppose to be but hasn't been around for a long time, I think he got gatvol of all the persons moaning at him with the problems.

But just maybe he will show up again one day when all the issues has been sorted out(Hopefully)

I took the time to read through this entire thread from start to finish.

All I can say is that I'm left speechless. Mr. GWI truly did his best, but I think he was fighting a losing battle from the start.

Wi-Fi is a great technology, but for use as a primary connection to the net, I'm not sure it's worth it, unless you have a seriously dedicated and well financed team behind it. At least not in the role of a WISP.

Using a WUG as an example, it's growing slowly but surely. From what I understand, the connection is pretty strong, and doesn't suffer from the same problems as this WISP does. While they are not providing internet, the design of the WUG seems to be more robust and stable, and if they were ever to link up to the net, I think speed and quality wouldn't be a problem.

I complain about the ADSL here at work, but the truth is that it has been stable, very stable. Some downtime yes, but in general it has been well worth it.

Well then this forum has served it's purpose. Informing people of what's going on.

Yes we have had a troublesome journey with GWI.

I wonder what the percentage of satisfied customers is with WISPS???

I just been capped and i havnt been placed on to Internet Solutions for some reason, im looking at a neotel offer of R599 per month wich is 10GB (double the 5 GB that im paying for at about the same price) and i get 1000 free on net minutes and 30 telkom minutes and i get a 2.4Mbps Link much faster and better than the GWI 5GB package

Around 3pm on thursday the 12th i have no connection. Friday the 13th i call useless tech support to be informed that i have reached my cap. What cap?! i'm paying for the 128 uncapped service. Like clockwork every month you can expect an email from global web intact informing you that its time to pay. If you dont pay you get redirected to a nice little HTM that says that they havnt received your monthly installment but dont expect them to inform you that you are now on a capped service or that you have reached said cap. Good bye webintact i which i could say its been fun but it has been everything but.

To anyone thinking about getting them as a wisp, DONT DONT DONT DONT ITS RUBBISH!!! I've been with them for nearly 2 years and was hoping that it would get better, if anything it has just gotten worse! And if anyone wants to talk to the big cheese mr Ben here's his number, only dont expect his phone to be on 082 787 8071

Goodbye gobal web intact, i hope you die a slow death...oh wait thats already happening isnt it? HHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA

I cancelled my account last month and signed up with WebAfrica. Had enough of all their bullsh1t as well.

Funny thing is, I have a confirmation letter from them stating that my contract will terminated at the end of May...
I'm posting this with my GWI account because I'm still waiting for my ADSL to be activated :D

Actually, kudos should go to GWI for the last month. For me it's been rock solid, quick (for 128Kb) and torrents running perfectly. No downtime that I can think of. And no caps he he ...

That's because they've finally managed to get rid of most of the 2% heavy users on their system

Lucky you,

My connection is very unstable, during the day when i need it the most i get a mx speed of 72kb/s and at night when girl uses it the speed is stable at 256kb/s,

Well it wont be long now then im also finished with them.

I spoke too soon. Immediately I posted this I had browsing problems that lasted most of the day. Then next day they cut me off because I had reached my cap. Whatever TF that's supposed to be. No warning, no notice, nothing. I had to phone them to find out what was up. Well, to say the least, I went ballistic. No, they don't have a traffic monitor but I "can always phone". Well, screw you and the horse you rode in on.

Yup, I've paid for an extra Gig and GWI can now kiss my sweet a**e goodbye. I refuse to be treated like this.
