WEb site Help. Creating an automated reply

Im trying to create a spot on my website where the user registers himslef/herself with his/her details etc and then an automatic email is sent to him with the details that he has just filled out in the email so that he/she can confirm the details and do whatever needs to be done.
What would the code for something like this be?
Im just using html and was wondering if this is possible and if so, how so?

Do a google search for "autoresponder html code", the best way to learn is through trial and error

Thanks but when i search for that it just gives me places to but auto respnder's and how to access it using perl etc.
I just want a simple reply. The guys name, surname and email address and this must be sent back to his e mail address.
Surely there must be an easier way than buying something or using CGI scripts in perl?

Nope, you will probably need some code to be executed to do that.

He fills out his details and they are sent to me directly, as in a fixed email address?
Is that do able?
