Hi all,

I am looking for a good web stats tool to install on my server. I have many websites and want to see the bandwidth usage of each.

Any ideas? Preferably a free tool.

Google analytics is great...

Slimstat is also really good

ETA: sorry, now that I think about it, I'm not sure that Slimstat actually records bandwidth usage...

Doesn't your host offer you Cpanel? That should have at least a few different stats scripts.

Awstats is free... and might be what you're looking for.

Those look like awesome tools,

I would like to try find a tool for bigger servers that I can actually install on my server that will monitor all the domains

-edit we used to use the stats included in Webmin but it conflicts with our FTP settings

I have awstats and Analytics. Analytics is awesome but you have to insert the code into each page on the site. A mission if you have a large site already. Awstats automatically picks up the traffic on the pages and it's a quick and easy page to load with figures right there. Analytics is awesome. you can see to the suburb in any place in the world where the people are coming from. you can see where people entered and existed. How much money they spent. The list goes on and on and on. It's truly amazing. Get both if you can.

Google analytics is very cool, and you can easily lose hours going through all the stats there. But I don't think that you can use it to see your bandwidth, unless I've missed something?

Most of my sites I have AWstats, some sites I also use Analytics more for interest and analysis.

I personally use the cPanel that is provided with my hosting - it gives your four different options of stats.

AwStats is perfect for you - it will show you the bandwidth usage each day, the unique visits per day - and everything else you need...

Two words: Apache mod_rewrite
