Firstly, You are asking us Why your WA account can't not connect to the NNTP server? Strange question :p

Secondly, There are threads about this already. We have a search function here...Use it!

I must say (sarcasm) I love all these threads about WebAfrica all of a sudden today. Its like everything that has gone wrong is their fault today. lol

YaYaYa if you don't know the answer just say so. If you also don't know the question or it's too technical, please do not spam here!!!:D

To actually assist with your question.

SAIX News Servers do often take a while to get a connection, but if you have been trying for a month then that is rather strange.

The WebAfrica comment was no directed at you, just found it interesting to see so many topics focused at WebAfrica.

Just check your settings again, post them all here if you can. Which settings you are using etc, how your grabit is setup, how you are connecting? RouteSentry (PPPoE) or direct via router?

:D:D I can connect now :D:D

I guess it's also the month end rush starting earlier than normal because I have been trying from the 15th of the month.

Eventually, what I did was removed all my settings and then added the news server again, and to my surprise it did connect but only after I have left it for 30mins or so.

All seems fine now, Thanks again for your response;)

No problem, I am glad all is working now.

Enjoy the news servers!

I actually have an webafrica account.

And your Webafrica account will either be SAIX-based or IS-based, depending on which account you chose, and that in turn will determine which news server you can access.

Or, iirc, even possibly Verizon if you're using their unshaped account.
