About a year ago I swapped to a Capped Pro account because I had latency issues and hoped it would fix it.
I was never sure how much of a difference it made.
I e-mailed Webafrica support this weekend to find out what the difference between the 2 is now and the reply I got was:
Pro package are Unshaped which means it has a higher priority on the network. Normal Capped are shaped data packages.. You can read all about it in the link provided below.
The below link read as follows:
Webafrica no longer applies Bandwidth Priority or "Shaping" to any of our packages.
So far I have not heard back. They obviously don't know what they offer to their customers. Capped Pro prices has also gone up A LOT (more than doubled) since I got mine. And now I want to up my cap but not at a premium for no good reason.
Anyone has an explanation for this? Or anyone from Webafrica with more of a clue than the support guys who can tell me why Pro is more expensive? Is the normal Capped package still shaped? Or lower priority?
