Please explain this to me.
I am on the 50/50 uncapped package, being there for years now and you charge me R1079 for that.
New advertising shows a R699 price for this package. I asked why i am paying so much, but @WebAfrica Helper is ignoring me. So, no help.
And then today you tell me that there will be aR40 increase. Checked again and see the packages you advertise.

Here is the kicker.
I just changed my package to the 100/50 package, for R779, a R300 deduction.
And nowhere on that order and confirmation is there talk of penalty or anything. Just clearly show a -R300 in my price.

Will see what happens next month.

But sheez. I have no problem in the service I get. Everything works and it stays working, perhaps 1 day offline in the last 5 years of Webafrica Vumatel. But the customer support suck big time.

Loyalty in SA just means you are easy to take advantage of.

Why are you with webafrica ...Have you seen the reviews/complaints on this site?
Yes I did. Have you seen the part where in 5 years I had 1 day without access? and that is because a builder down the road ripped through the lines, hardly their fault. If you need customer support they suck I get that. But I have not needed customer support in 5 years.

Now go read how many times the Afrihost and cool ideas chaps are getting stuck with service interruptions.

Afrihost and WA both had their network provided up until recently by Echo.

I think the difference is transparency with what is happening vs no transparency and customers not noticing an issue.

If you haven't noticed their transit issues in the last couple of months you must only send emails or something, they are terrible. You're going to see lots of people "stuck with service interruptions" here because Afrihost and Coolideas both actually help people on here so people come here for support. And it's support from higher up folks as well. You're lucky to have had only one outage, that comes down to your FNO mostly, I'm also fortunate to be in an area where my FNO (openserve) is extremely stable, no matter the ISP, it just depends on area and FNO, and how the ISP handles those issues if they happen.

Oh no!

Anyways - cancel and move on. We got Afriman and PBCool here so pick one. They are both excellent.

Work From home. Watch Netflix, Wife watches Amazon Prime and my son Plays his online games. All at the same time, and if the move or whatever has boring spots I fall into youtube clips on the phone. SO no, a bit more than just emails :)
FIbre is by Vumatel. We just are very stable, very lucky I can imagine.

Exactly what I did years ago. I was paying R1000+ for 50/50 and saw that they changed new 50/50 packages to R650

So I went online, said I wanted to change my line to a "50/50" with the new pricing and the next month they charged me on the new pricing of R650

There was no penalty but yeah now they're again upping the cost, so might consider moving to the 100/50

Double check all your debit orders!! Make sure it corresponds with your invoice.
Webafrica has been adding a fraudulent debit order on my system since 2018 and there was no invoices and I didn't sign up with any mandate. I just found out after months of query that they have been charging me for a service that is not even my account. The first 3 letters is the same, but they didn't even bother to make sure it is mine.
I have laid several complaints but they haven't done anything to correct this or to bother stopping the debit order.
I was a customer since 2012 and this is the absolute dismal way they have treated me. Really one of the worst isp in South Africa, and I used to be a customer for both Telkom and VOX. I would move over asap if I were you.
