sweet zombie jesus, I have no words, so for my capped account which I rarely hit the cap of I get two notifications toward the end of September that I hit my cap

looking at their usage report it shows 50-60gb used every hour, even during loadshedding, literally impossible
so I check which lines connect to this account, only mine
I check which devices connect to my router, only mine
I check usage on the router's stats, about 1% of the joke figure reported by WebAfrica

the conversation with support would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic:

I was wondering about this issue.
My usage is showing the same, but I'm on uncapped fibre so it doesn't affect me at all.

Started on Monday 26/9 as well.

Very uncool that it's actually affecting capped users.

Change your DSL password, maybe they are sharing accounts.

Which ISP did that? Openweb?

I've had similar bad support kak with these muppets...and I have about 30 clients with them. Three responses in, just kill the chat and start again hoping to get someone with a brain.

One more month with this kak, then it's other people's problem. Cannot wait.

I went to check mine again.
lmao, 1TB in one day already according to these okes.
In reality I've used maybe 20-30GB today.

Here's mine from last month showing the same issue as you, if you want to use it.

Out of sheer interest I went to check on mine.. exactly the same. Look at this ****. WTF is going on with them?
I wish I could download 150 odd GB in 1 hour every hour! even whilst I was sleeping with everything off!
What a joke of a company, can't wait to get rid of them

wtf 2.png

Same as the thread starter... 26th they started milking every account so Webafrica can charge all their clients a little extra!

jirre, WTF kak company this. But I have been saying this for a few years.

Reminds me of that other kak company. You provide proof that the issue is not Telkom. 3 months later, can we put you on our green network cause MTN is suddenly the problem.

Because words matter:

Fraud:It is the unlawful and intentional making of a misrepresentation which causes actual prejudice or which is potentially prejudicial to another.
unlawful: charging for a service not delivered / data not used
intentional: multiple clients tell you exactly what is happening, yet WebAfrica chooses to ignore them
misrepresentation: well the 50+gb an hour everyone is "using" sure as hell is a misrepresentation
