Anyone else experiencing a problem connecting to Fibre accounts on Webafrica?

Mine has been dead for about 3 hours now. I've logged a ticket in their "black-hold" support system which will probably only be answered in a few months..

I tried calling their phone number but a voice comes on saying they've exceeded their license for the PABX...

We are also for about 4 hours. Webafruca call center not answering.
Area is Wilgeheuwel.

20:56 - Orange Grove - Still no connection from Webafrica, seems other ISPs are back up dissapointing

From what I can piece together Vuma had a hiccup and all the other ISPs came back on relatively quickly.

Except Webafrica that’s completely dead for over 7 hours now. No comments, official statements or ETR. Nothing

When exactly does CPA let us out of our contracts with no service?

According to Afrihost's Network status there is an on going issue with Vumatel Aerial

"Vumatel Savoy
Please note there has been a fibre break in Savoy thats impacting clients on Vumatel Aerial
We apologise for the inconvenience!"

SADV is my fibre provider and WA is my ISP. I've been down For 10 hours now. I called the WA support centre 3 times. First two times I was on hold for close to 30 mins gave up both times. 3rd time I called they had a voice notification that said they are experiencing a problem on the fibre network and they are looking into it. No ETA.

Makes me kind off wish that I had listened to my friends and chose a different isp. Just hoping it gets fixed before Monday.

Over 12 hours now and nothing from Webafrica - they have to literally be the worst ISP I’ve ever encountered.

MyBroadband should do an article on this outage. It’s a case study on how to be absolutely incompetent at Broadband.

WA still down and the notification on their Customer Zone states VT down in all areas with no ETR. Which I know is bollocks as there are a number of people in the surrounding areas on VT with different ISP's and they are all active and working.

Given I have cancelled with these charlatan's already, I cannot wait to be rid of them from the end of this month and I honestly hope that this leads to a mass exodus of clients as their support and product has been absolute rubbish from the outset.

Same story here. Literally cancelling my account with WebAfrica right now. Rest of my complex are with Afrihost and various other providers and they all have internet except me. Webafrica can get ****ed.

How are you getting out of the “we want our router and vuma installation fees back robbery from them?”

Does anyone know if I cancel with Webafrica does the new ISP have to wait for them to “hand over” the connection or can they start provisioning me already?

I waited the 12 months (which in hindsight I should just rather have cancelled and paid the installation fee and moved to another ISP - school fees).

When you cancel you apparently need to wait for your current ISP to release your line before the new ISP can activate your account. Am looking forward to seeing how that plays out with Webafrica.....

Yeah so its just another case of South African consumers getting... ******
We pay for fibre, we pay for a line in our monthly fees but we have no right to choose where it connects to until the ISP does.

And we all know Webafrica will just stall this so that nobody can move..
