It all started a month ago when I ordered a domain from WebAfrica from their website. Due to a technical error on their website, the sale went through 6 times!
What kinda technical error? The kind when someone clicks "submit" several time because a page load was slow or something like that? Remember, no double clicky on the internet :)

"Elitehost" is a 3rd party user, rather go for a business that has their own datacenter like hetzner.

The Hetzner data centres have reach full capacity quite a while ago. They are using the MTN data centre nowadays. Therefore they are also a "3rd party user".

It all started a month ago when I ordered a domain from WebAfrica from their website. Due to a technical error on their website, the sale went through 6 times!

I immediately contacted their support department explaining to them the situation and asked them to cancel the 5 duplicate orders so that I am left with only one domain registration and not 6.

When I received my statement at the end of the month, I saw that they credit me only for two registrations which left 3 registrations of the same domain remaining. I phoned their billing department to get the extra domain registration of 2 years (R758.10) credited and again explained to them that due to a system error on their side, I should not be charged for this. My main problem was that their debit orders were already processed and so they couldn't stop the additional R758.10 from going off from my bank account.

Basically after their billing department made a stuff up on my account, I had to pay R758.10 extra that month. Two weeks later, they did however credit me and refunded the full amount in my bank account. I thought this was the end of the nightmare but just to be safe, I decided to move all my ADSL accounts to Afrihost, leaving only my hosting and ADSL lines with WebAfrica as Afrihost does not provide reseller hosting. I figured if I had less services from WebAfrica, then there is a lesser chance that they will screw up my account. Boy was I in for a surprise this month!

After receiving an invoice before the end of March from WebAfrica stating what I owed them, I went through the invoice and all seemed well. But then came the surprise from the bank when the WebAfrica debit order went off and was R758.10 MORE than the invoice stated!

I logged into the WebAfrica client zone and discovered that they debited my refund of R758.10 on my account. So basically they made a screw up, refunded me a month later and then the next month decided to take my refund BACK!!! To top it all off, when I phoned their billing department, the lady tried to convince me that the debit of R758.10 is simply their system showing that I was refunded. If that's the case, then why the hell did I have to pay them the R758.10 back then?!

This is simply the last straw from WebAfrica. I have decided to cancel my debit order and will move my remaining services to a different ISP.

Is there anyone who can perhaps recommend a good and capable ISP that provides competitve reseller hosting packages as well as ADSL lines?

If interested, we can assist you with reseller hosting packages. PM me for more information or visit our website - the link is in my signature.

Not trying to be funny here guys but WA is always making appologies. This is on mybb, their own forum, via emails you name it. Most of the time issues are sent to different departments.

MCEGuide, I don't know what your story was but I would feel offended by the response of WAIan here. He speaks to you as if you are a retard. Once again, don't know the story but this is what it looks like.

I've said it before and I will say it again, everybody can and do make mistakes, business included. The difference is the speed and ease with which they resolve these mistakes. There is not a single business out there that has never before made errors in some way or another. At least WA is active on these forums and elsewhere resolving or trying to resolve any grievances their clients might have.

Another thing is we only ever hear one side of the issue on these forums when someone makes a thread with a complaint. I'm not saying MCE was in the wrong here, but it is possible he/she cliked more than once when ordering the service. Granted they refunded then retook the money which makes no sense.

I still say, try to resolve the issue with your ISP or whoever first, before you come and napalm the world here.
