Webafrica Red or Uncapped?

I don't know if I should go for Uncapped (1Mbps) or stay on the Webafrica Red @R199.00 (MyBB Special) 30GB + 100GB afterhours.

Recently moved house and I'm trying to rethink what I spend every month on internet access. Always had a 4Mbps line at the old place but now downgraded to 1Mbps at the new place.

With the 4meg line and WA Red I just scheduled downloads for after 24h00 and knew it will be finished by 06h00 so that I can switch the laptop off and head to work. The bandwidth also counted towards the 100GB and not the anytime data.

Now I will have to start planning better and I'm not sure if uncapped will be better than WA Red...

If I decide to leave my laptop running during the day, can I expect decent speeds on uncapped?

Webafrica uncapped isn't good.

You want something like:

But why put yourself through the pain of 1Meg?

2Meg is reasonable these days.

I would stick to the Red Africa. At least you get full "capped speed" and if telkom lifts the entry level line speed to 2, your costs will remain the same.

2Meg is reasonable these days.

Because nappies and formula are quite expensive

I will obviously upgrade to a faster line later if it frustrates me endlessly.

That Openweb Uncapped looks like a fair product. How does it compare to Mweb? Anybody?

that OW product will be dead during the day though. but the product as a whole is very good. you can pull lotsa gb's & no throttling.

Have you had a look at the Afrihost capped bundle prices? You could get a 2Mbps line plus 50GB anytime data for R375pm etc. The 10, 20 and 40Mbps offers are also very competitively priced.
