Looks like out town will finally be getting ADSL in December and I'm trying to look at possible uncapped ADSL providers.

I came across Webafrica's uncapped offering (Uncapped IS) and would like to know if any of you guys have experience with it. Is it a true uncapped account? I wasn't able to find any mention of a threshold or limit on their website.

Any other ISP's I should look into?

Ok, so I've at least been looking at the right package! Just hope darn Telkom actually gets the ADSL up and running as promised.

Crusader: Just a word of caution. Dont get the express accounts. Waste of time and money.

The only uncapped option that's worth it is the business uncapped account. Problem with it is the price and that you have to use a router supplied by IS. You also dont have access to the router.

The good points are that it's uncapped, unshapped with no threshold cap. So if you want to download a billion terabytes, go ahead.

Bottom line is be prepared to fork out a minimum of R1539 + R326(Telkom) every month for proper uncapped internet. (But we all know it's still rubbish compared to the rest of the world)

Other wise Neotel prime uncapped is the only other option if price is the biggest issue. (Provided you have good coverage)

Well Neotel won't be an option for quite some time yet. Luckily, if ADSL arrives, my flatmate and I will be sharing the connection and expenses, so it will almost be bearable. Although it is still hugely expensive!

Hi Crusader,

Stoner is correct if you are looking for true uncapped internet then you should go for the IS uncapped account.
This package has no thresholds at all and overall performance is higher.

If you need any details regarding the uncapped accounts give Webafrica sales a call anytime and they will assist you with any questions you may have :D

Thanks, I'll do that once I actually have confirmation that Telkom has made their exchange ADSL ready. Supposedly that'll happen by 15th December, but IBIWISI.
