ok well i initially started my internet many moons ago with openweb, but due to bad service changed to Webafrica.

so now this morning i decide i want an account at Webafrica and one at openweb.

well webafrica was pretty painless, sign up, type in CC details receive my username like a minute later.

Openweb was a little trickier but that doesn't bother me... till i got to the paying part, now i enter my CC number, then have to do a whole verification process thing, which i do, and when i eventually finish all that, error. so i try again, go through everything, and error again, send message through their support thing and no reply yet,

sigh guess im just used to Webafrica just working, and replying to queries within a few minutes.

anyway just thought i'd post my experience.

Actually I think the problem is at the bank. I had the same experience trying to buy from a site abroad. Contacted the help desk and they said that the verification was handled by the bank and I must contact the bank. Thats true, cause in verifying I was routed to the bank's website. However, didn't want to waste time, so I went to a different provider who didn't do the verification thing and got done within a minute. This is something new. I haven't experienced it before.

But yes, I don't particularly like openweb.

i just keep getting invalid PARes every time i try, hopefully its not actually going through..

I am getting exact same problem when using my Master Card CC.
Then I tried my Visa Cheque card, and that actually worked.
Think the problem is at VCS, and not with openweb. But openweb should make sure this problem gets sorted out! I am pretty sure they are loosing a lot of business due to this.

ya well i only have a Mastercard so ya.

i can understand, im quite patient and i just move on to the next ISP, so i can imagine how much business its costing them.

Hey Friends

We have contacted VCS and have asked them to either solve the problem or remove the verification system until it can be sorted.

Thank you for your feedback!

Kind regards
