For immediate release --

21 July 2005 - Web Africa is pleased to announce the following promotional pricing on ADSL 30GB exclusive to MyADSL viewers only:

30GB ADSL for R199pm (incl)
Promotional Code: MY459183 (expires 31/10/05)

Available immediately through our online ordering system.

We are excited and challenged by our competitors and a highly informed and discerning MyADSL readership. We also believe in maintaining our traditional levels of customer service and support and thus will not be lowering our standard pricing in the current environment.

Fine print:
- This promotion may not be used in conjunction with any other
promotion or our regular "50% off from the 15th of the month discount."
- This promotion is valid until 31 October 2005.
- ADSL accounts run from 1st to 31st of the month
- Maximum 3 discounted accounts per client
- Applies only to the ADSL 30GB shaped service

--Update 30 September 2005--

Will you be changing your prices for November?
It is not clear at this stage.

Why can't you release pricing?
Because there is a likelyhood that we may preserve current pricing.

Will the MyADSL special continue if your regular prices don't change?
Possibly. Or there may be a new special.

When wil I be informed of this?
As soon as we have clarity.

Will I automatically be billed for November if the prices change?
No.

Will you be price competitive with the other ISPs?
Agressively so.

What are you doing for the consumer?
We are in still in meetings daily regarding the situation. We have already pursued a few avenues (litigation, ICASA, ISPA, alternate suppliers).

What about the 30day notice?
Web Africa does not require 30 day notice on any ADSL products. Notice must be given before end of each month should you wish to cancel. This may be done online (client area), via email or telephone. One caveat: Debit orders are prepared around the 25th thus if you cancel after that and you on debit order you will be refunded.

How does a Monthly billing work?
You are billed every month until you cancel. You do not need to request a service each month.

What if I want it just for one month?
Order and cancel anytime during the month. You account will be cancelled but still still active until the end of the month.

rpm approved public service announcement

Thanx for the new standard prices
What is the chance of a new special for MyAdsl members as referred to above?

Edit: Please!!!

Yes, but remember that is prepaid, with unused prepaid GB's rolling over to the following month.

Richard, I asked this question in another thread but it wasn't answered, so I will ask again.

Can we purchase prepaid GB's without purchasing a 3GB account first? In other words, if I need only 1 or 2 GB's for that month, can I simply buy prepaid GB's?

That you can. You can either go for the prepaid only account, which provides you with 0GB of usage for the month and is rather entirely dependent on how many prepaid GB's you purchase, or alternatively you can "expand" your fixed-cap accounts by buying additional prepaid GB's onto your account (just like the normal prepaid account these prepaid GB's don't get reset and continue over from month to month until they have been used up).

Thats great Richard, thanks. That will work out well for me because I'll be overseas for two weeks in November and a few days of December, so I won't have to worry about wasting GB's while I'm away. And I'll have bandwidth to come back to in December. I presume we can simply purchase more GB's on your website?

if we run out of fixed cap, we can still log onto WA.co.za to get some prepaid?

Woops, I had better get back to the salt mines then. As for your question nrg_wp, yes, you can, you will be able to still log into our website to top up.

Even though Telkom is causing a issue for all the downloaders and P2P users.

I have to say I am very happy with WA. Not only is my Unshaped gaming becoming cheaper. But now I can carry over unnused GB's as well as pay per GB for what I need. No more only using 1.8/4gig and pay for the entire 4gigs.

Thank you WA.
