Webafrica?

I have two points to make.

1. Go to bed. 2am and your complaining about the internet. You know the switch is happening, go to bed, wake up in the morning and deal with it then. Leave the ISP's to do their jobs and get us sorted out.

2. After seeing the time stamps for WA replies on this thread, I am glad I will be supporting a fine ISP from today on. Thanks for the boast in confidence WA!

Good points! :)

I switched off at 11pm last night and only on again at 6am, so I missed all the problems, thank goodness :)

This thread is another reason I'm so glad I went with Web Africa. Their customer service is spot on. Not only that, but the fact that they spend so much time taking part at MyADSL makes all the difference to me.

"There is a problem ,we donot know when it will be sorted out.....

Thats not customer service--That sucks

At the least they could apologise....even if it is not there fault...

Hello!!? What do you call crawling around work from 1am to 3am trying to fix someone elses problems just so some script kiddies can download warez in their sleep!!! If it was Telkom you'd a. Have to wait till morning to lodge a complaint, b. Have to wait 48 hours because it's a best effort service!

The guys had an issue, it happens, actually it was to be expected all things considered. Thanks Matt and Richard for getting onto it as quickly as you did.

For people who complain about a problem with information technology:

Have you ever used a computer? Things happen. Especially in a windows environment. to many factors to deal with. OSX :)

Cut the guys some slack, my account is not up with WA yet, but I am sure they will get it going ASAP.

They must have been dreading today for like a month!

im also still unable to reconnect. I have to waste my fcuking money now to dial up. called telkom, everything is fine on their side.

PAP authentication failed. Going to call a friend for his account information... this is getting ridiculous

It is, in fact, a Telkom radius problem which is still not completely sorted out. Yes, some ISP's have managed to bypass this and are already working, while others may still be experiencing problems.

Like I said - patience. I can tell you for certain that the ISP's had crews working through the night to make sure the conversion is as hassle-free as it could be - why blame the ISP then for what's happening? They're on your side?

Sheesh.

Well to report back. After two private messages from Matt and an eamil back from support giving me my account details, I am currantly using WebAfrica to write this. Thanks guys for the stellar job this morning. As with most things, a little patience helps you have a better day.

Now if I can get Telkom to lower the price on the gigs.

AciDRazor - please drop me a PM, sounds like something else is up there.
