Webhosting suggestions

I am having trouble with my web hosting as well. They charge a lot for overages, and don't have a higher package fro some of my sites, so I don't know what I am going to do. First of the year I am going to re-evaluate. Hope to keep seeing cheaper bandwidth and more local options coming to the market.

Well I guess this is it. The end of my relationship with Webafrica I paid my account in full less than 22 days ago and their billing system which according to Natasha at Web Africa simply cannot unsuspend my account because of some 7 day account setting.

Whatever you do NEVER pay your accounts with WebAfrica before the 7th of the month. They simply do not care one little bit about anything else.

So I guess I am looking for a new host for at least 84 sites that offers a similar or better deal on reseller accounts as WA do.

I run a small hosting company, but unfortunately only offer Linux based hosting. The company that hosts my server is HostGator, one of the top 10 hosts in the world and I can truely say that the are rock solid. I have never had down time in 5 years. Their dedicated Server packages offer Linux and Windows hosting. Check out their site - www.hostgator.com

If you run a hosting company, why not just link to your services/packages instead of stuffing the link with your affiliate code to hostgator?

I know I do it because I DONT run a small hosting company... but why do you?

I don't run a hosting company :p but I am happy with my current hosts (of 2 years now) - both service and hosting-wise. They were quick to respond to my queries, sorted out domain changes including my Google Apps DNS entries with no hassles whatsoever, and their billing system works. They host both Windows and Linux, and have local and international servers, shared and dedicated.

Take your pick. ;) Good luck finding the right host - they are a dime a dozen these days, and it takes some sifting to find the right one.

We have a great web hosting reseller option, that might be a good option for you, especially if you want to resell the hosting or add hosting to one of your packages.

Just a thought, feel free to take a look

Are your servers based in SA? ie will it work on local bandwidth?

Hi Chatmaster,

We offer local and international based windows servers which are all configured with Helm control panels. The servers are setup with php 4 & 5 and include MS SQL & MYSQL databases.
9GB's of traffic on an international server is not considered heavy load at all considering we have clients who do in excess of 45GB per week. Give me a shout and I'll put some pricing together for you and try assist where possible.

I'm with softdux. I've only got a small site, and only been with them for about a month now, but their support is excellent. 22:00 I opened a ticket and in less than 5min I got a reply. Afaik they've got both intl and local reseller accounts.
