Which companies offer cheap website hosting, also could i host overseas and still have the .co.za domain? I take it that hosting overseas would be better because of exorbitant bandwidth costs in south africa.

Who can i contact about such hosting, what would it cost etc.

Just remember that you can host the server overseas and still have a .co.za domain pointing to it! The domain name is completely separate from the hosting.

Been hosting with host4africa since 2004, not one minute downtime, unlike IS, Hetzner, MWEB, etc.

Also, if the local internet network goes down or they forget to fill the diesel generators, like what has happened before - your international visitors can still access your website. Needless to mention the savings and that if you use port 587 + authentication for mail; you can send mail via any of the local ISP's.

What you would be paying for a complete domain, will be far cheaper than that of a single mail account from Telkom or MWEB and the like.

yeah, South African hosting is expensive thanks to expensive bandwidth. cheaper to do it abroad
