Hi Guys
Not sure if this is the correct section, please move if its not.

Anyways, how can a website cause me to lose internet connectivity?
Its quite weird, but ive proven it countless times, I can browse for hours, but when i go to carbonite.co.za it cause my adsl to stop working for anything from 10 seconds to 2 minutes.

I bought a spare router to test but my friend borrowed it before i could, i do suspect its my router.

Anyone got any other ideas?

I have reconfigured my router a couple times and ive had 3 different ISP's

Thanks

It's your router's way of saying you are CUD'ing too much :p

Does it do it when you are logged in to Carb or just when browsing as a guest?

Using Chrome. Happens on my pc in the lounge, my laptop and my desktop in the room.

Haven't tried as a guest will give that a go tonight.

Had to check if it is not April 1
So it means when you hit the website, the pc/browser has to connect to the router and login and tell it to disconnect or reset or something. This is freaky
Or is the modem in bridge mode?

There are upgrades and backups being done at the moment, browsing might be slow/non responsive but it won't effect other browsing.

Thanks 0j0 as i am missing my weekly fix of Carb0nite :).

Some technical info would be nice to digest what you guys are doing :D or point to a thread when it is up.

As to OPs issue, do you have any adblocking software installed? Lets see when the site is back. So weird :p
