Websites to search for open source application

I'm looking for a list of websites where open source software (or links) are provided, I've tried sourceforge.net but it didn't have what I was specifically looking for.

I've been looking for a music transcription application, an application which takes music audio and transforms it into a midi file. I've even e-mailed some people who did research upon it if they would be able to pass down they code but no reply yet.
