According to CI my fibre line will be released at midnight on Saturday 31st.Aug. I was wondering when Afrihost would take the line over, Sunday, Monday or?
Thanks, I am with OpenserveDepends on which FNO you with. Afrihost use dhcp so as soon as the line is configured you get a otp and authenticate your router. As an example, I'm with SADV and I managed to get them to reconfigure the line around 3 weeks earlier than originally agreed to and Afrihost worked immediately.
I think with Openserve this can be done before the actual line is switched but stand corrected.
Thanks, I am with Openserve
Got your PM - we should be able to get this all sorted for you![]()
Sorry one thing I didn't mention is that Openserve would use PPPOE, so before Openserve releases the line you can get your PPPOE details on the Afrihost Clientzone and then you can just reconfigure your router. Afrihost is DHCP for everyone else. Thanks, got a call this morning from your help desk. Apparently it takes 2-5 days for Openserve to release the line for another ISP to pickup and connect.![]()

Hi there, I'd also like to have my stuff sorted this weekend. Please advise how I go about it. CFibre will release the line on 31 August.

@AfriMan @AfriFella Send you a PM with my details also. My line is still active today and I haven't received an invoice from ISPAfrika so they have "released" it. Checked with a backup account and everything is still running, even able to VPN to home from work atm. Strange thing I see on the client zone is that my order has now changed from waiting for line migration to waiting for Openserve line installation. Maybe there is some mix-up with the systems atm?
