Weight Losers United

Couldn't wait for tomorrow (which is officially 4 weeks) so got out some old clothes to test ....... I have dropped almost 4 (about 3 1/2) shirt sizes and 2 pants sizes. Have also increased my exercise time and variety and have not felt it. All in all, I feel pretty awesome ..... and it hasn't been half as bad as I kept telling myself it would be :)

Can't believe I'm still going strong .......... have upped my exercise routine further and handling so obviously the fitness is kicking in. Feels good. Only downside is that the more I exercise, the more voraciously hungry I get, lol.

this is impressive and gives me more motivation

Carbo Controversy

http://beta.mnet.co.za/carteblanche/Article.aspx?Id=4511&ShowId=1

Atkins, the weight loss programme, started a diet revolution in the '70s. It's eating plan had followers swearing off the carbs, embracing meat with hardly a vegetable in site. Weight was lost fast but this controversial eating plan soon went under attack. And when Robert Atkin's died in 2003 the Atkins Diet had long been a closed book.

Prof Tim Noakes (Sports Science: UCT): "There is no question we are reaching a tipping point and I think we are going to move away from the exclusive high carbohydrate diets. People are realising it's not working."

Enter a 15kg lighter, Tim Noakes - Professor of Exercise and Sports Science at the University of Cape Town.

Prof Noakes: "Now what I've learnt is that I can regulate my body weight absolutely without any trouble as long as I keep my carbohydrate intake between about 70 and 50 grams."

Derek Watts (Carte Blanche presenter): "Which is very, very little."

It's Tim whom athletes consult to optimise their performance through exercise and diet, like extreme athlete Lewis Pugh who made sure his record breaking feats of endurance took place under Tim's watch.

Down 10kg's so far in 2 weeks .... today is week 3 and it's getting easier and more enjoyable to keep up the eating plan and exercise.

As far as I have read the body is only able to drop a certain amount of Body fat is a specific space of time, the rest consisting of muscle wastage and water - I suggest you get a body stat done so find out what you are actually losing - because 5kg per week is way over healthly (or even possible limits) for fat loss.

"The maxiumum amount of body fat (not weight loss) an average person could lose in one week depends on the individual, but generally around 2 pounds! This might seem little, but there are 3500 calories of energy in 1 pound of fat, even if you could create a deficit of 1000 calories each day. This would equal 2 pounds of fat loss per week (7000 divide by 3500). You cannot realistically lose any more body fat because you cannot live without food. In other words, you can only create so much of an energy deficit within the diet..

100kg on the nose today. Next week should be under! Milestone! :D

I have been to Tony Ferguson for 1 year, and lost 32.4KG but I'm not really NOT moving now. for like the last two months, can anyone give me some advice?
