I have become more and more fascinated with how well LCHF works and the science behind it. I wanted to be a part of this thread so post 1 was the only place to start![]()
Might just do that!
GOTTA love LCHF. Last week at this time I would've eaten 2x Mcdonalds chicken McMuffin's on my way to work and would already be looking for my next fix.
Currently sitting with fresh egg mayo, grated cheese and mini pork sausages in the work fridge with fresh cabanossi in my desk drawer and I have not touched any of it - JUST. NOT. HUNGRY!
Having one of my favourites on LCHF: butter fried haloumi. Also found some bacon bits on special at PnP so decided to fry those up too!

it's about finding what works for you, I sometimes have up to 75% fat in a meal, e.g. breakfast where I supplement bacon and eggs with a full fat coffee
basic guideline is that if you feel hungry soon after a meal then you're not getting enough
Even if you dont like them I would recommend them, otherwise you are going to need to take in a ton of oils or a fibre supplement.
Making a change to LCHF often results in constipation if you dont get enough oils or fibre from vegetables/salads etc.
Just a quick tip, the top spar in Gonubie(the quickspar) has massive packs of bacon for R59 they are easily a kg each and its really good bacon. for some random reason its not with the other bacon but in the middle of the pork fillets.

Hi
I've been doing some LCHF on my own before reading this thread.
I have lost weight but now my cholesterol is up. How does this compute?
