Weight Loss Thread 2014

Wow...was meant to post each few weeks my weight loss. Well that went well...

Ok...so I started the HFLC eating plan in Jan. I was just shy of 90kg's, and am 1.78m tall. I am currently sitting on 78kgs...havent felt this great in years. I'm not strictly on HFLC, still have some "bad" carbs here and there like bread, rice sometimes...so currently not losing weight...just maintaining. I would like to lose an extra 2kg's...so will be giving that a bash over the next month and start banting properly again.

But yeah...being on this eating plan...I really cant go back to the way I used to eat. From the bloatedness and general unwell feeling...no thanks.

One thing I am concerned about, is I have noticed a handful of people on a HFLC diet - their cholesterol goes down for a while, then goes back up somehow. Not sure why, so am getting blood test done tomorrow just to make sure I am in the clear.

Cholesterol isn't an indicator of heart disease so don't bother, complete made up bull**** actually...

As said above, stop looking for things to cheat on, cut the sweetness out or you will fail... Need to get it into your head that you will NEVER have much sweetness in your diet for the rest of your life

Is feta cheese ok?

Any hard/unprocessed cheeses are fine, feta ok too

Thanks for the cheese tip.

The problem with cholesterol is the insurance industry. They will load your premium if your levels are high even though your risk is not increased.

Should have shared this a while ago because you guys are missing out. Meatza, so good! With a thin layer of mince as the base and any topping you can think of. Just Google it, there are many ways to go about it but it is simple enough to wing it. I did it weeks ago and tried cauliflower pizza the next day. I don't recommend it unless you really enjoy cauliflower but the meatza was awesome. Admittedly the protein content is a little high so best not had every week but save it for when you are wanting to pig out...

Made it a few times.

Hi guys. How is maltitol compared to xylitol. Seen it in some foods.

Any of you guys suffer from a bit of constipation lately?

First time in probably 15 years it has happened to me. And I haven't changed anything in my diet for the past 4 months of LCHF. No problems before now.

Any ideas?

I always did then eating better made it a million times better. Been struggling for the past few weeks though and I'm not entirely sure what could be causing it. Was going to ask here if anyone knows what to look out for in vitamins / medication that can cause such problems cause it really does not help one's self esteem having a bloated puffy tummy all the time.

Since starting LCHF have only "gone" once.

Previously was like regular, daily 9am :p

I've been fine for months on LCHF.

Regular Joe each and every morning. But the past week has been hell.

Really confused as to what it can be.

I also noticed a change in regularity after starting LCHF. I used to be every day; now I occassionally skip a day.

Make sure you're drinking enough water, and not eating too much protein, and are getting in there with the salads and veg.
