Weight Loss Thread 2014

Why didn't you do Banting whilsts away?
It's the best thing for vacations.
I could've. Pressure from my wife TBH. Champagne in the evenings around the fire as well as too much chocolate. I admit I enjoyed myself but only the first few days. Soon the poison which is sugar started making me feel ugly.

How is diabetic friendly chocos that contain erythritol ?

Dont recall when I started anymore, but I'm at 13.5% body fat down from around 20% iirc. Not too shabby at all. Cheat maybe 1 meal a week if I'm out, at home I almost never cheat unless it's a special occasion.

Ah I had not been eating as clean as I should be...yes I eat them veggies and everything, but I will always have those cookies and pizza on the side....will stop now, I promise :)

Weight loss been going a bit slow (obviously), I am on 82kg now....will break the 80kg barrier by the end of this month :)

I noticed the other day that Woolworths have introduced a range of nut butters, and the prices looked reasonable too. My eyes lit up. Of course I still gotta check the ingredients...
Oh, Woolworths. Oh Woolworths you bunch of stupid pricks. You were SO close to snagging me for a few hundred bucks a month at least, indefinitely.
Macadamia butter - 99% macadamia nuts, 1% Soya/Cottonseed oil.
All of them, wrecked just like that. I'd be more inclined to try them if they contained crunchy turd nuggets straight from management. Oh well. Off to my sulk-room then.

That 1% is pretty negligible surely?

I've noticed that they do this across a wide variety of Woolworths products. In places where they could use pure olive or coconut oil, they go ahead cut it with some vegetable oil. As a trend this bothers me far more than the 1% in this particular macadamia butter.

What does one do with the nut butter if there is no toast to put it on???

My caps were because I'm actually furious with woolworths. I never eat peanut butter and the other day I decided to gorge on it a bit without reading the ****ing bottle. Needless to say I discovered AFTERwards that it has GM rapeseed, conola, and soy oils in it! AND TO MAKE MATTERS ****ING WORSE - THE PRICKS have hydrogenated the oil - so you get a heart stopping dose of trans fats to go.

This was woolies crunchy. The organic peanut butter has no such garbage in it. But geesh you have to be like a bloody hawk.

Got a 'Caring Candies' choccie today ....... 31g fat per 100g, 5mg sodium per 100g, 14g dietry fibre per 100g and 2g protein per 100g - nothing else. Tastes ok too so will do me as once in a while treat :)

So the one and only thing I've been craving is chocolate cake. Good ol' home baked. Could it be that there's something in cake that my body needs??

I have been absolutely STUFFING myself for the last couple of weeks.

My appetite is prodigious and I don't understand why.

Stress perhaps?

Weight is slowly coming back...

I think its the cold cause I'm damn hungry the whole time. Though I do have exam stress too so could be that...

Eish copa you are not the only one.

I have absolutely done the same thing... AND with all the verboten foodstuffs too.
Pasta, potato and rice dishes in larger than permitted portions.

It is the Winter relapse that catches me every year.

From 128Kg down to 106Kg, now back up to 116Kg.

I am conceding defeat until the Spring.

I have been absolutely STUFFING myself for the last couple of weeks.
