Weight Loss Thread 2014

Peeps, it's been a rough day. I still feel like death. This is the worst start to LCHF I have ever endured. It's enough to make me never eat a chocolate again!!

Shame dude, its pretty tough sometimes getting back into it in a serious way.
Its a good incentive to try and stick to it though :D

Only a slight headache this morning but stomach feels like I have a bug - even though I don't. I guess I must have been smashing sugar and carbs pretty hard before starting this and my body is fighting back.

I will keep at it. Zero appetite but I am chugging down water by the bucketful.

Some advice from a personal experience, meat and dairy is really bad for you. It contains a lot of fat.

Since going on a plant based diet I've lost 5kg (from 74kg to 69kg) and I'm 1.84m so it's not like I had a lot to lose :p

Just o be clear, I didn't go on this diet to lose weight, it just kinda happened. I eat A LOT of food so don't starve myself. And by cutting out any animal derived products, I don't get in any fats.

And I can still enjoy dark chocolate :)

Just a heads up, Woolies have 18 large frre range eggs on special for R35 at the moment.

I think the thread needs a title change then you wont get the "meat and dairy is really bad for you." types tossing their 2 cents in here.

I been lurking in this thread for far too long, moved cities in the mean time. Weight is down 4.5kg since the last I checked in here.... but now I'm back with my family and the eating has taken a bit of a nose dive. Sigh, why is will power so lacking in the winter?

Fat is not bad for you.

Oh I see...it's that kind of thread.

Never mind then. I don't get in any fat at all and I'm healthy with the correct BMI.

It didnt start out as a LCHF thing, it just moved that way with the results everyone was getting.
Its not like this thread is an exclusive club or anything, there are some people in here that have other types of diets to LCHF so please dont be offended if some people disagree with you.

I don't have any problem with people who avoid animal products. They will exclude themselves from the gene pool after a few generations, so I just let them be.

I don't think this thread should be exclusionary, however all sides should be careful throwing statements around regarding health and food.

If I have experienced anything, its that there are plethora of ways to lose weight, just because it "works", doesn't make it right for everyone.

TL;DR: Share experiences, don't enforce views, however debate is always good ^_^,

By the way Mister, hows that 6 pack coming on :D

It is suggested that the effectiveness and healthiness of different diets may be influenced by the ancestry and genetics of the individual. LCHF works well for the majority of people in this thread but it would be a mistake to claim that it's the best diet for all.

Oh we will still be around. It's you lot who will all be dead from swine flu or mad cow disease :p

I'm not offended at all. Just thought I'd leave my experience here :) Not forcing anything on anyone here.

And mister, we'll see about that ;)

I was referring to infertility but it doesn't apply to you because I don't think you're a breeder!
