Hi All

I need to drop a few Kilo's and just finding it hard to do on my own.

Anyone on here been to a dietician/weight watchers and found success?

I hate that starving feeling, and need someone who can allow me to eat normally and some good carbs as well.

Any suggestions of dieticians or programs that I can pair with gym?

Thanks,

Tim Noaks, LCHF or is this no longer a thing?

No need for a dietitian or some diet with insane rules.

Monitor your energy intake and follow a decent training program so that your muscles don't deteriorate.

Calorie tracker:

Training program:
http://stronglifts.com/5x5/

My steps to success:
Weigh once a week under controlled circumstances
Measure yourself every 2 weeks
Progress pics once a month
Stay under your calorie goal
Lift heavy.
Keep it simple.

Develop discipline. Motivation is temporary.

I've hardly had this problem, fortunately, so I'm no authority on weight loss :(

But there was a time where I did lose a lot of weight by simply cutting whatever was on my plate in half whenever I could and saving that half for the next meal. Not sure why this seemed to work so well though but it forced me to eat more often (5 small meals a day) as well.

You may find you feel full or satisfied on even half a plate if you wait for that feeling to happen during the meal. Plus your next half of the meal is only like 3 hours away (If you eat 5 times a day) so it ain't difficult at all to withstand.

So what im thinking now - sitting behind a desk is the issue. I really do not eat well but this desk job is a killer. I think Gym is the answer to it all. Full fleged traiing program. 4 times a week. That will do the trick!

You will need to work on nutrition. Training alone will not be enough.

You can train 5 times a week and eat ****, it won't help. However you can eat healthy and not exercise and you'll still get good results.

Looking good is 80% diet and 20% exercise.

What do your daily meals look like right now?
You currently exercising?

I'm sort of opportunist when it comes to eating... i.e. I will take whatever I can on a given day, sticking mostly to convenience, but I will always opt for the healthier choices where possible. I couldn't be arsed going further than that. Shopping and cooking and weighing for hours every week, with a ton of other commitments to squeeze in, kills it for me. I will look as miserable as Eeyore on a downer doing this.

Not saying OP should listen to me here at all. Just being too anal about nutrition above everything else might in some cases seem counter-productive?

Anyway whatever works and whatever OP has the time, commitment and motivation for :)
