I'm connected to my work LAN and also have a Vodacom 3G SIM in the 3G slot of my PC. To follow the advice given here on my thread to check the data balance on a 8ta SIM given to me, I brought the SIM and an 8ta USB modem in to work.
I opened the 8ta dashboard and connected. At this point it was showing HSUPA+, but I also had the work LAN enabled and also the Vodacom 3G. Was surfing this site, listening to TUKS FM via streaming and also checked in on a couple of other sites. All working fine with quick connections.
So I decided to check the speed of the 8ta connection here at work. I disabled the LAN connection and TUKS FM disconnected. Disabled Wifi and Vodacom too to ensure 8ta is the only connection. Refresh Tuk FM and it takes 3 tries to connect, but it does. Want to open MyBB and Speedtest.net and nothing. Just little rotating circles. Decided to test some other sites. Carforums and Midforum opens up. MyBB, SA4x4Community, Facebook and a bunch of others would not open.
I tried it on Firefox and IE with the same results. Only 3 sites would open and none other. Disconnected 8ta and connected via LAN. All OK again.
Why would this happen?
