Hey guys,

Am having a bit of an issue and not really sure what I can do about it... I am having the following issue:

I used to have a Seagate 120GB (system drive - OS, apps, etc) and a Seagate 1.5TB for storage (Docs, Music, Videos, etc). Then I got my hands on a WD Velociraptor 150GB and decided that it was time to reinstall my OS onto that drive. Having done this (OS is Win 7 Ultimate x86) I am having issues accessing files on the 1.5TB.

I can read everything just fine, and I have taken ownership of the whole drive. For some reason, all the folders in the root of the drive (if I look at the folder's properties) have the "Read-Only (Only applies to files and folders inside)" property checked, and no matter what I do, I cant get rid of this.

I have chopped and changed the security permissions and still have had no luck. Each time I uncheck "read-only" it seems to do the right thing, but then if I open the folder properties again, it is checked again.

Any ideas on what else I could try?

TIA
