Weird sound issues.

My windows partition (for gaming) has for the most.. being behaving itself but lately something really weird seems to be up with my sound. The sounds "warbles" every now and again. Basically it seems like the sound slows down for a moment almost as if the CPU's are at a 100%... but when I watch the performance it does not even spike.

This happens with all sound media, including games, and often seems to deteriorate over time while the machine is on.

I have tried killing all process`s and I even tried reinstalling all my codecs in case there was a problem there. I do not think its a software conflict (that I know of), and since the sound works perfectly in linux.. I know its not the actual physical hardware.

I really dont feel like formatting and I have never come across this before. Any ideas or suggestions?

dude if you have done all of the above, your windows may have problem

have u tried latest of different drivers?

if you have your only option is a reload

Have not tried reinstalling the drivers, but will give that a try when I get home.

You might want to run a malware scanner for just in case.
