Well Done Nokio N82

mmmm.. so would the N82 be a better bet then the upcoming K850i then? how does it shape up with the N95? (my current phone but I'm a bit bored with Nokia)

Ye it is better than a K850:(
Its a N95 in a Candy bar phone and a Xenon flash.

the keys on the N82 look tiny!! are they?

Im not sure havent played with one yet. But they look decent.

you sure it's better then the sony? had more or less set my mind on the k850... don't want to make a dum decision...

Nokios are good on paper so Im still contemplating which would be the best. Ive used alot of S60s but all MY own phones have been SEs.
Ill have the luxury of using both and playing around with it, then I can decide.

But so far.... N82 looks good. If theres one thing that iratates me about the N82 Ill take the K850:)

okay so in the comparision it shows that the nokia only really has GPS that beats the SE right?
But did anyone notice the difference in battery life?
my bet is that all the fun gimmicks will be useless when you have a flat battery :p

and therein lies the rub!! despite doing a software upgrade on my N95 the thing has developed the nasty habit, as have all the N series Nokias, of rebooting at random.

as you quite rightly point out on paper Nokia are untouchable but in reality their phones are too full of state of the art technology to be reliable...

having said that us suckers for apps are lightly to opt for the Nokia yes... eish...

Ha ha I love always seeing these fights between different fanboys! :-)

Anyway Mobile Review does a direct, albeit first look, comparison between the SE K850 and the N82. I personally think the N82 is taking it so far. Check it out, it also shows pricing to be slightly less than N95 in Europe

And just so you all know I have no prefererence. Had two Nokias, now Samsung and like SE camera phones... I make my choice based on what the phone offers, not the name!

I think it's pretty obvious that the N82 is the best phone between it and the K850i....

Im still getting the K850i because my contract expires now and it's the only one available and I dont need everything on the N82.

The target market for the two phones differ completely. Only thing they have to tie them in the same class is the camera. Personally I think the SE is a bit more youthful, younger people... Where the N82 is directed towards more business, technology orientated market.

I mean look at how the phones look. K850i is more funky and playful, the N82 is a serious phone.

A TyTN? Old, and superseded already. Plus it's WM, which makes it worthless in my eyes.

What would be a really cool phone to get. Theres a contract upgrade coming soon and I am looking for something good. I like the GPS of the nokia, but I like that the HTC can run skype.
