I must admit Cindy is much better than previous people, Cindy is the only decent one there, imo , I still have nightmares about Bernice :P
 
I think a big hand should go out to PixelPusha, his Pusha drive and action have really put a lot of pressure on Microsoft and i am sure that pressure got fed through to Powercare to jack themselves in the correct direction from word go. Well done PixelPusha. :D
 
Just a quick update, just returned from PowerCare, and got my brand spanking new xboxes.

I must be very lucky I had zero problems and it took extactly 1 week (plus 4 days if you want to count saturdays and sundays) from submitting claim forms.
 
Changing my stance.

They told me it was new units. Bull. both are refurb.

Xbox1. After one minute, it sounds terrible, like the fan is hitting something inside.

Xbox2. They gave me an older model, and the xbox that I swopped is less than two months old. Now they give me one that have an manufacture date of july 2007. Furthermore I cannot connect any controllers to it. Where the same controllers connect fine to XBox1 .

A good friend of mine got himself a Jasper. It was not working correctly (no ring of light).

Immediately, he took it back. He was put in touch with Powercare, who collected etc.

It took almost 3 months of fighting with them to get his XBox back today. Guess what, he got a Falcon instead of his Jasper...

And the cherry on top? Plugged everything in, AND IT WASN'T WORKING.

Bernice is in for a MAJOR blasting early tomorrow morning
 
Why the f doesnt ms sort this shiit out. I will not spend another cent on anything 360 related again.

Clearly they have no idea about engineering and think my buddy doesn't either. But luckily he has me.

dude post some hellopeters and forward it to those email addresses and also log complaints like daily @ the call centre, it works, and eventually when they correct their error at the end all you do is say u want compensation :P . I did and it works *wink* *wink*. and when they reply via email from Powercare forward it to those email addresses, don't talk to them do everything via email then u got proof of any lies, it's the best, like when they told me I got a falcon back I told them no way and eventually they owned up via email and Bob's ur uncle I had them. Via phone no proof, via email :P

I had the same issue, gave in a newer console than what I got from powercare. When I questioned them, they said these are the consoles that MS supplied them... great

Oh that is nice. They told me the power brick they are giving me is a universal power brick that works on ALL xbox's. :eek:

Well in theory, that's true, provided the VOLTAGE RATING is the same. If the current RATING is higher on the power brick, there's no harm done.

The way to tell a Jasper is by the rating on the back of the actual XBox. This is basically them saying that the unit may require UP TO 12.1A. A current rating in this sense, only specifies a MINIMUM; i.e. that the unit requires a "power brick" that can supply a minimum of 12.1A. Higher is fine, provided the voltages are correct.

The voltage rating on the back of the unit is different. It says that "this console requires a certain voltage, no more, no less. Supplying a different voltage will not work, and will probably break something".
 
They tried to drop off a non-HDMI XBOX and I sent it back. There's no reason why you should settle for less than what you returned. Follow Pixel's lead and make LOTS of noise to absolutely everyone. If someone manages to find out who the Microsoft EMEA CEO is, add his email to the list as well. Fight bad service with your SPAM!!

For the record, my experience with Powercare was awesome. Both Cindy and Bernice were stellar. I'll sing their praises from the rooftops forever!
