Good morning

I dont read here everyday, and was surprised to see this morning that there are more people complaining about 3g Signal in areas close to me. Honeydew/Fourways etc. I used to live in Honeydew a while back and it was REALLY bad!!!

And now it seems the problem has moved with me :-( I am in Weltevreden park since December 2011 and the last few weeks has been a nightmare. The call centre NEVER calls back, although they always say they do.

I have logged a fault S3-LUB3O-OAT03 on Friday. Even if someone can just explain what is happening and why, that will already make me feel better. It is an endless battle Whenever I call back (like another poster here said too) they tell you the services request has been resolved. WTH???

Can someone please help?

I have to add (didnt know whether I should laugh or cry) - when I logged this call the lady from Vodacom said to me "If you can use your handset to make calls, it is definitely NOT the tower or a 3g signal related problem" :wtf:

I know a few people who live in Welties.

From what Ihave seen....

The hills in the area and the location of towers can affect your 3G.

Try borrowing 3G units for the various SPs or buy prepaid sims &load a few rand so that you can test for signal.

Then use the ISP that offers you the best service.

Weltevreden Park area is a bitch when it comes to signal. I lived right on top of Constantia Kloof (overlooking you guys) and had such a "fun" time with my "awesome" connection jumping between all the towers you guys need for a decent signal it was crazy.

Wireless is NOT meant for you. Try to bother Telkom for ADSL

Also live in Welies and my reception is freaking horrible. I am looking to get wifi now but the once off cost is high. then i will setup a wifi in and around my house and use my phone over my own setup.

i also live weltevreden park across the road from MTN.. my MTN signal used to be horrible, I got a couple people in our complex to complain in December.. they put up a tower in Jan, and now we are sorted.. The only signal thats still kak is 8ta
