West Moot Pretoria Network Issues

Hey Everyone,

Ever since I baught my 5GB Dongle I only get EDGE speeds... Even when using a DIY antenna I only get about -97dBm (10to 17% signal strength in dashboard)..

If I put the SIM in my Nokia E71 I also don't get any 3G signal.. sometimes maybe 1 bar if I walk outside and I'm lucky.

I was wondering.. are there anyone from Wes Moot or West Pretoria who also has this network coverage issues? I've been having this from the 24th of December..

Areas I'm talking about: Andeon, Kirkney, Pretoria Tuine, Booysens, Claremont, Mountain View..
especially near Andeon and Kirkney...

Please let me know if you also have problems lately..

Okay weird

Uhm, okay...

I just placed the Cell C sim card in my Nokia E71 and got the best speeds thus far! The E1820 sucks!

Anyways.. to Jhb

Nokia E71 with Vodacom : 3.18 Mbps down, 0.36 Mbps up, 82ms latency
Nokia E71 with Cell C: 1.2 Mbps down, 0.35 Mbps up, 75ms latency

E1820 with Cell C (Not getting 3G signal at all): 0.21Mbps down, 0.09 up, 392ms latency.

Such a poor poor signal here

CellC speedstick issues - West Moot

Hi, I know this thread is a bit old, but I would like to know if the problem you refer to has been resolved? I live in Pretoria Gardens and had a good signal (3G - 97%; dBm - 81) but suddenly (about three days now) I am unable to receive a 3G signal at all. Even tried it on my Blackberry with 3G - nothing. Hope this is only temporary?
