So I might not have fibre at my house and it will take Openserve a few days\weeks resolve. So I needed internet on a non contract basis. Looked around and decided on Rain. I completed their online contact me, it wasn't a minute and someone phoned me. With in 10mins the order was completed, and I choose to collect my router from their Queenswood Store. Got to my house plugged the router in and I had internet and the internet seems to work. Great Success!

Enjoy it while it lasts.

I had consistent 60mbit for over 2 years with them. Everyone in the house could stream while I gamed online. Didn't matter if it was during peak or off peak. It was perfect. For the price, they had no competition.

Then one day like a switch flipped I noticed it was much worse. During the week when it came around 5pm it would hit 10mbit, by 7PM it was 4mbit and only one person could use the internet. Sundays was the worst as the bandwidth dropped to 4mbit by 1PM. It came to the point where if you wanted to download anything it had to be after midnight because it would then magically climb back up to 60mbit.

It's clear they eventually get oversubscribed after a while and don't do anything to compensate it. I think their service is only reliable in areas where Fibre is more common.
