What are my options?

Ok so looooong story short, my ADSL line is screwed and has been for years, I wont go into detail but bottom line is I can't seem to get it sorted. I've tried several ISPs including WebAfrica but the problem here is my physical line and I have terrible noise which leads to constant lag spikes when gaming. I want to get away from this phone line completely, so what are my options? Neotel don't have WiMax or fiber coverage in my area, but are there any other similar companies or solutions I should look at? What's good for gaming?

What I do to sort out weird adsl problems is report noise on the voice portion to telkom. This usually fixes it.
 
Thanks for the tip, but as I said 'I'm hoping to get away from this phone line if possible, also I don't use the voice portion of my line... I don't even own a landline, wont that be a problem?

Well that's it then. Get a phone and plug it in. I'm 100% you will get noise and 100% sure reporting it will fix your issue.
 
Well what I meant was I don't own a landline phone or have a separate number for telephone, I only have my ADSL account & number so I was worried that might cause a problem when trying to report the noise portion for being faulty... I dunno how the whole telephone thing fits in with ADSL tbh, I haven't owned a landline telephone in 10 years :p btw I'm in Waterkloof ridge, PTA
 
There's no 'separate' number, it's the same number check on your invoice. Borrow neighbour's phone and plug it in and see.
