How? I put in 350 rands of petrol every month - not likely to earn 500 ebucks, am I now?You hit t5 just filling up you petrol will earn you 500 plus a month.
That's was I get on petrol alone. But I get more than enough for the rest of my spend...How? I put in 350 rands of petrol every month - not likely to earn 500 ebucks, am I now?![]()
Strange. Took me less than 30 minutes to open my Capitec account, getting the card and walking out. Tyme bank was less than 5 minutes from opening the account, upgrading it with FICA, getting the card and walking out. Haven't wasted any time. Closing my FNB account on the other hand took me standing in the queue and sending mails back and forth. They conveniently also didn't bother to remove me from marketing consent so I received spam even after I closed my account. They're pathetic.Hard up for cash are you kidding me? 24k a year isn't really nothing but whatever enjoy your free bank where you consistently waste "time" to even try an open an account...

Always that awkward silence when they at one point tried to sell car insurance, and I say I am a student/dependent, so no.Strange. Each level has its benefits though, for instance if you fly all the time then the upper level accounts with free lounge access is well worth the extra cost. Also moving to gold gets you access to an overdraft which is great for bridging finance, as is a credit card if used wisely and only with the 55 days interest free.OP this is called price discrimination and it's what all businesses do to maximize profits. Look at the range of prices you can pay for a coffee, latte, cappuccino, etc and note they're all the same three basic ingredients taking 2 min to prepare.
This way the people who're willing to spend more do spend more, but if you just want a coffee you can get that too. If you're me you order the cheap espresso ask for it in a proper cup and add some self service milk.
Ebucks is the collectable loyalty card with cool stickers.
Only major rules that need to be followed for ebucks to work is use your credit card for all payments and buy petrol at Engen, other than that you can carry on as you were in term of your spending habits. All the while getting a great credit rating from all the monthly credit card spend, at zero cost because you are taking advantage of the credit cards 55 days interest free.
No. Interest should only start immediately of you eft money our your cc account or draw it as cash not pay for petrolAgreed, but doesn't using your credit card for fuel (even at Engen) start the interest process on your credit card negating the "55 days interest-free"? I've been seeing interest of a few hundred rands the past couple of months on my account even though I settle the credit card at the beginning of each month.
You should check when is your due date for the month and settle a day before that.Agreed, but doesn't using your credit card for fuel (even at Engen) start the interest process on your credit card negating the "55 days interest-free"? You are correct, a few years ago this was still the case. Not anymore tho.I do believe interest is charged for feul on CC. I have stopped using my CC for that reason. Was a while back so maybe things have changed.
