What are these marks on (in) my screen?

Looks like moisture got into it?
I'd be curious to know too - I've seen it on the LCD's they have at gym and it really does make things look bad. That lends some credence to the moisture theory. (maybe not splashing it - but high humidity?)

that is a deformed lens sheet (brightness enhancing film sheet) located between diffuser and LCD panel. Good news - it is reasonably priced, bad news.... the whole LCD panel will have to come of...

the cause is heat dissipation coming from the CCFL's.... you see.... that (right hand side) of the TV/PC Screen will get hotter compared to left hand side... the right hand side is where all the CCFL's are grounded to the metal frame... hence the reason it will get hotter...

the main thing to pay attention with lens sheets (BEF's) is to leave them to move freely between diffuser and LCD panel

This is my observation found on google
