Still don't see that sucking up 1.5KW. :) But there's room for more of them thar 1TB drives for sure. I think he needs to add more 1TB or 2TB drives so we can judge when the power runs out. :D

I was going to add my latest acquisition but when I saw clayman's post my PC cowered with inadequacy.

I love these...

but I'm just posting to move on to a new page so we can all forget about Clayman, start showing more realistic specs and boost our self confidence:D

Seems the H50 is proving "fairly" popular. How do you guys rate it against air cooling?

it's doing a good job. though i have a suspicion that i haven't put it back properly from the last time I took my case apart (about 2 months ago). or well it's either that or it is not doing well at all.

:D Same here. Temps not too good since I fiddled around with it a bit. I actually lapped the base and it made a difference, but thermal paste spread shows one very warped cpu heat spreader. Currently running some messed up airflow sucking air into the case through the radiator. Wierdest thing is that at higher fan speeds the temps go up sometimes. As in too much ambient air over the radiator actually makes it worse. :P :D Funny little thing this.

the other thing though is that the room the computer is in is actually quite warm. so the poor bugger may actually be working overtime. don't know why i am so lazy to reapply TIM and make sure it is secured firmly. hardly a time consuming activity.

Well today this thing cooked. Hitting 40+ motherboard temps thanks to the weather in CPT today. I swear we hit 40C down here.

I still need to get back into the garage and finish the sidepanels for this case. Trying to seal off the sides of the main chamber of the case just to see if that helps cooling.

And then seeing as the 955BE is fairly "cheap" these days I reckon I'm going to get proper 3M wet paper and dry sand the CPU heatspreader and finally fix that silly warp. That, or botch up a rather decent CPU. :D
