Looks like a rock pigeon

It's a Rockie (Rock pigeon). Good eating, easy to catch. Better and easier to cook than the Christmas turkey.

Edit: Remembered my father had a lot of Zebra finches and also had a few of these doves in the same aviary

I "nursed" an injured one earlier this year for a few days. It didn't want to leave the house after it recovered. I had to stop feeding it and hide all the food to get it to eventually leave

They just want you for your food.

Correct, much too small to be a Rock Pigeon.
