Dude, a better photograph would help, you cellphone pics are completely out of focus. some Cellphone cameras have got a minimum focus range of about 30cm.

Turn the lights on in the place, your exposure is way too low, the camera obviously does not have a infra-red range finder, so it cant see what to focus on.

Is the slim-line cable different that the standard stiffy drive cable?

looks like a standard FDD and FDD cable
FDD - Floppy Disc Drive (stiffy drive)

Umm, what part of "I don't have it anymore" don't you understand?

hmmm... a computer shop is a good place to start, but why in the word are you still using floppies? lord, blu-ray and HD-Dvd's are out and you worried about a freaking floppy, dude thats like 3 generations ago, (floppy-->cd-->dvd-->blu-ray, hd-dvd)

@ Scotty - He's mentioned it in a number of posts that the floppy is for a keyboard that is no longer in production.

You forgot the stiffy, right after the floppy :p
And tape drives, zip drives etc etc hehehe

Yes and the difference is it only has 26 pins and it's made from Flexable plastic and has no connector

aaaaah okay - so its one of them flat ribon cables with solder points on both sides that slips into this slot that makes contact with the points on the ribbon cable... So this is a laptop FDD...

You get those in most electronic goodies today especially if they need to be tightly packed like DVD Drives etc.

First of all I must apologies to everyone here, even I'm confused about the difference between the floppy and the stiffy drive...Well to set the records straight it is actually a STIFFY DRIVE, and YES! LabAnimal has hit it right on, except the wire runs straight through from one end to the other there are no signs of solder it is a single 26 PIN Ribbon cable that I might mention that noone has seen or heard of that I've already phoned someone at a computer shop even told me it's not a ribbon it's a Flexable PC board, Idiot!!! which it's not!!! LabAnimal has described the cable to the T except the solder bit it has no solder, Now that we have accomplished this so far...Where can I get this type of cable from? and are there adapters that will slide into the slot from 26 PIN through to a normal 34 PIN that I can connect a normal STIFFY DRIVE just to upload the OS...Thanks for your patience in this regard...
