What can I do when Rectron wont replace faulty ram?

The small claims court cost nothing( if i remember correctly). Just phone your local courts and theyll give you the info u need. U dont need lawyers for this.

Lawyers aren't allowed, you can speak to one before hand but you must personally appear before the commissioner.

Here is some handy information provided in this thread

The good thing about threatening to take a business to the small claims court is the time is takes (wastes). Businesses see that as "worth it" or "not worth it", depending on the amount claimed. Also, a court is a public place, so any adverse publicity is quite damaging.
I would go for it and send a letter of notice. They won't turn up I'll bet ..

Yup, and the owner needs to personally appear to state his case. He doesn't know anything about it at this point, I can almost guarantee, furthermore since he isn't allowed a legal representative he pretty much is all alone there in front of the commissioner (the owner knowing nothing of what is going on, guess who most likely to lose  ).

Small claims is excellent and really helps the 'normal' people.

If I have a choice, I wouldn't even drive past rectron. A My first pc I bought 4 year ago, I bought through a friend, who had a brother with a pc shop. We bought everything on cost price through him. From day one, the pc freezes about once a day, just for nothing, even when I do the smallest thing. So everyone told me, buy more ram, so I did it when the finances allowed it, after 4 months(I was very poor back then:D). But the problem was still there, I tried everything. In the 12th month after I bought it, I asked the friend of mine if he can take the whole pc to Rectron so they can run tests. He did it, and they found out that the motherboard was faulty. So they told my friend that they dont stock that board anymore (A-Open), And they won't refund me, I can buy a new board, but they'll give me discount. My Friend didn't want to argue, so I was forced to buy a new board. I hope they burn in hell, if they make it to there.
