What can you do on a MAC?

Bwana : BitRocket seems very nice. Cant seem to find any screenshots though

Kewl Apps

How about turning your MacBook Pro into a seismograph with SeisMac.

Try expanding your apple remote with Remote Buddy. The video is pretty cool.

Those are some cool apps, I'll deff be using them in Chile.

lol, I suppose it'll want to kiss it's arse goodbye.

Spotlight : Not really an application, but it is the best way to find anything. Integration and ease make it head and shoulders above Google Desktop Search.
Spotlight is absolutely awesome. I miss it whenever I am using Windows. The find included with Windows is so pathetic its ridiculous.

bwana : Busy trying it now. Very, very nice bittorrent client

A little tip some might not know: in tiger in any cocoa app (safari, mail, etc...) place the mouse cursor over a word and press ctr-command-d to get an instant dictionary lookup on the word.

No X11 = great

The latest version is the best looking so far... still pretty resource intensive (probably not a great universal port).

I suggest creating and keeping files in the office formats... just makes portability easier.

The interface is clearly a direct port from windows. Along with office its probably the least "aqua" feel you'll get in a mac app. Somehow I don't think they'll be able to write it for aqua from the ground up... using inspectors etc.

Overall it works pretty well for the price... I found it to be quite stable... never lost a file... Had one or two crashes, but file recovery was good.

Why not try it alongside the Office trial. Be warned that there is loads of MS nagware in the trial and printing is watermarked.

AppleScript. Everyone who uses a computer knows the challenge of performing the same series of tasks over and over again. For example, try to add a prefix to the names of 75 files in a folder and you’ll soon realize how time consuming and stressful repetitive actions can be. Isn’t there an easier way? Yes. It’s called AppleScript. Write your own scripts code by using ordinary language.

Especially when you tie it in with Automator. :)
