Daily I drive a 2014 Volkswagen Touareg 3.0 V6 TDi which is one of the most practical and comfortable daily drives I have ever owned.

No not new here just spend more time here lately. Yes I get it. Someone carrying on about his car of the year. I Have owned a Kadett GSI and a 200iS later on after owning a few Audi's. Loved the Kadett's however I never liked Monza's or the first Corsa's. They just never appealed top me just like Hondnaai's and Kia's don't appeal to me.

Loved the Kadett 200iS too. Lusted over that as a young teenager.

Korean tinboxes don't appeal to me either.
 
Kia Rio Tec. I liked the specs at the time. Had a more appealing look and feel than the i20 I test drove.
 
My daily is a 1998 Fiat Uno 1100 which I got as a present when my parents upgraded.

My other favourite toy - it's a gyrocopter actually.



This one is the carbon fibre Xenon gyrocopter which is 40kg lighter than the normal fibre glass version.

Awesome flying experience.
Top speed 185kmh
Stable.
Easy to fly.
High maneuverability.
high wind capabilities, so when everything else is grounded due high winds, that's when gyrocopter pilots go play

Cost:
New +-R2.5m - - +R4.5m (depends on options - exchange rate)

2nd hand R600k - R1.2m (depends on condition & hobbs)
 
2005 Mitsubishi Pajero 3.2 DiD, bought new, now has close to 400k km's, I tow a 2 ton boat with it and never given a day's trouble.
Simply bulletproof if you look after it.
 
2014 Mg 6 deluxe sedan has 90 000km on the clock.
2012 Ford Figo 1.4l has about 104 000km on the clock
 
2015 Ranger 2.2 manual, pre-facelift. Did over 2000km in one in Namibia and was hugely impressed, so sold the Hilux and bought one in 2015 just before the facelift came out. I am still impressed with it.

Missus has a 2018 Ecosport 1.0 Auto - fun car to drive, but quite heavy on juice for the size of the engine.
 
2007 Lexus IS 250 SE with about 187000 km.

Was planning to upgrade this year, but now will have to see what corona does to the economy

Wife - 2016 Mazda 2
Mazda Fans. Both previous cars also Mazdas
 
Other. But it's an SUV. I didn't want an SUV. The wife wanted an SUV. So we compromised and got an SUV.

Wife and I both have Honda. Mine a Jazz, hers a Civic

I get 5.1 litres/100km, so that suits my snoep outlook

Reason: 4 kids + 2 adults + 4/5 dogs + luggage (the bag type)
Do I like it? ... not so much; it's most likely one of the most boring cars ever made but it was good value for money, economical and above all practical for our needs.

You've never driven a toyota corolla have you?
 
I drive a Bayerische Motoren Werke 118i F20 M-Sport Manual Pre-LCI. Can be efficient if you want her to be, but more than capable when you put your foot down. Plan on keeping her forever :).
