What do couples fight about most?

It is the small, silly little things that you would never guess would bother the SO that causes the arguments.
I normally stand there with a "WTF?!?" look on my face when it starts and then zone out and nod.
It is for the best.

Not me, I stir as much as I can to heat it up a bit. In the end she realizes how stupid it was and then appologises to me. Makes the make up sex soo much better :D

they say its best to be prepared.

so, if i know what most people fight about, i can work my defense out, increasing my chances of winning the battle.
and would also help to know what really p*ss people off so that one can avoid those kind of behaviors. :-)

In my experience that is exactly the stance 95% of people take but its definitely the wrong way to look a it. The goal of an argument is not to win, its to present the facts to find the truth and make changes if necessary. Sometimes she will be right, and sometimes you will be. The quicker both of you knowledge the truth, come to an agreement about it, and then make changes the quicker the relationship and your lives will improve.

In saying that, any old married couple will tell you the same thing. Your partner is never going to think exactly like you, well, because they are an individual. Both parties need to work out what really matters to both of them and what doesnt.

If something matters and needs changing then its cool to argue about it, but if it doesnt both parties need to learn to give some leeway because there is nothing worse than being stifled as an individual. Giving a partner space to be themselves is vitally important to a healthy relationship. Old married couples will often spend a large part of their time in their own section of house, doing the things which make them who they are.

Winning by any means, especially to such an extent that strategies are employed just goes against the whole idea of marriage. I'm always shocked how dishonest people can be during an argument.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. - 1 Cor. 13:4

He did say "eye"... kyk is verniet!

just checking. weet nie of hy dit metafories bedoel nie. :-)

party mense praat van 'n "wandering eye" en bedoel dat hy saam met sy oog afdwaal. :-)

you'll have 2 black eyes if you were my husband looking at other women LOL. i'm the ONLY one you need to look at. and in saying that.............did you see that one guy with the beeger muscles...............was just saying.

do you mean the wandering eye as in cheating or just looking or flirting?

that sounds more like "heading for a divorce".

at the end of the day it ends up in a fight and sometimes divorce.

i would be worried if my bf does not have a roving eye. as long as the body does not follow the eye. :-)
